Child and Adolescent Neuropsychological Services
Neuropsychology is a medically-based branch of psychology that deals with the relationships between the brain and behavior, whether that behavior involves language, motor skills, social interactions, emotions, or cognitive ability. For Developmental Neuropsychologists, this brain-behavior relationship is put into the context of child development, understanding how patterns of development are directly related to the developing brain.
This developmental perspective of neuropsychological services is especially helpful for children, adolescents and young adults with developmental disabilities (e.g., ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Language Disorders), Learning Disorders, brain injury or individuals struggling with attention, memory, academics, social and emotional development, motor and/or language skills. Three types of services are offered: neuropsychological evaluations, therapy and consultation.
